I'M JEAN-MAURICE
Thank you for dropping by :) Yes I have two first names! (My parents could not decide which one they like best) so here I am hyphenated ! I was born in France, lived in Ireland for 2 years, move to the U. S. A some years ago. now moved back to France. I love the yet unspoiled rural landscape, the food and to be near my children. I got my first camera when I was 16. That was the start of it all. Shooting hundreds of slide film rolls of anything and everything I could. In coming to the States I enrolled at the New-York Institute of photography, just to make sure I had the tools to become a “Professional Photographer” I then decided to open my own Photography studio. “Time Passages Photography“ 10 years ago. So here I am pursuing my passion and making "Original Photo Art".

Inspiration
I am an artist at heart. Always walking with my eyes open and in awe of nature. Colors of Autumn leaves, sun shines, shades meet, colors changes, the shape of a tree….! Such everyday moments often inspire my work, Because at the end of the day, nature is the greatest artist of all, and the most I can hope for, is getting inspired, imitating it in my own unique way.
Techniques
The Great Ansel Adams technique of dodging and burning, to either augmenting and diminish the amount of light on certain area of a print is used my many photographers. In the digital age, this tool is a lot easier to use. It is my humble opinion the only way to achieve the right balance often on a print.
