WELCOME TO MY BLACK AND WHITE GALLERY
The great Ansel Adams took 100's magnificent black and white landscape photos; he took those breathtaking images with only nine shades between extreme black and purer white which he called his "zone system." While a minimal amount of pure black could be acceptable occasionally, pure white is considered the "apple in the garden of Eden!". These remarkable images do not come from his or any camera like this. He had to do it manually! They request tons of work during processing by masking (dodging and burning) specific parts of the image to allow less or more light on the photograph to achieve the final vision. I use the same process made a lot easier with incredible software. He would have loved it! I certainly don't dare to compare myself to this great artist. But I hope you see a little of his style in my work.
