After his Egyptian campaign Napoleon thought it was a good idea to take to Paris one of the two obelisks at the entrance of the Temple of Luxor..! It is now at one end of the Champs Elyse at the Place de la Concorde. It was from there that I took this picture. I wanted to show it as though a scribe would have painted it on a piece of parchment paper centuries ago. On the top left, the hieroglyph would translate to the pharaoh Amonthep III who started the Luxor project. After the passing of two more Pharaohs, it was finally finished by Ramses II. I also added a photo of a piece of a fresco from that temple and a tablet of more hieroglyphs from the Louvre. It should make it feel more like home.
